MONROE - Monroe's fifth-grade boy basketball team lost two games to Brodhead on Saturday, Jan. 10.
The Monroe White squad lost 29-18. Ben Latimer led Monroe in scoring with 13 points.
The Monroe Red squad lost 27-19 and was led by Brent Edmunds and Adam Ninmer with 7 and 6 points, respectively.
Monroe's fourth-grade boys basketball team hosted Brodhead on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the middle school. Monroe once again gathered victories in both games.
Weapons on offense included Alex Tordoff, who was the leader in points, Cole Murray and Ross Oxenreider.
The fiery defense of Jacob Pillow and Nate Smith stopped Brodhead in its tracks.
