MONROE - The New Glarus-Monticello football team had four players named first team Capitol South All-Conference recently.
New Glarus-Monticello senior Dallas Boley was named first team all-conference as an offensive and defensive lineman. Senior Tyler Dorn was a first team pick at running back. Fellow senior Corey McGowan was a first team all-conference selection at defensive back and senior Mason Lockard was a first team all-conference linebacker.
New Glarus-Monticello finished the season 8-3 and upset No. 1 seed River Valley in the first-round of the WIAA Division 4 playoffs.
Belleville-Albany senior Brad Wire was a first team all-conference offensive lineman.
Belleville-Albany's Donovan Woods was a second team all-conference selection at running back and linebacker.
The Wildcats had four other second team all-conference players including junior quarterback Collin Adams, senior wide receiver Mike Nolden, senior tight end Alex McDermott and senior defensive lineman Josh Peters. Nolden was also honorable mention all-conference as an outside linebacker/ defensive end.
The Knights had five players receive second team honors including junior offensive lineman Eric Felt, junior defensive back Lukas Kolasch, senior linebacker Brandon Gerber, defensive lineman Trae Seffrood; and Dorn at kicker.
Dorn was also honorable mention all-conference as a defensive back and punter. Other honorable mention all-conference players for the Knights include Lockard at running back and senior Dan Harried as an outside linebacker/defensive end.
