MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting an afternoon of football and volleyball with the Cheesemakers from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26.
The football event, which is being offered to boys and girls in grades kindergarten through eighth grade, will be held at the high school football practice field.
There will also be an afternoon of volleyball with the Cheesemakers at the Monroe High School main gym. The event is being offered to girls and boys in grades third through eighth.
Participants in both events will go through a variety of different drills with MHS varsity players, and they will receive a Campion's Champions T-shirt courtesy of Colony Brands and Morning Optimists.
The department also still has openings for cyber bowling from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at Turner Hall, 1217 17th Ave. The program is for kindergarten through fifth grades. Participants will bowl two games. Participants can wear white and need to bring socks, so they can glow in the dark.
