BRODHEAD - The accolades keep rolling in for the Brodhead girls basketball team.
The Cardinals had five players receive Rock Valley South All-Conference honors recently. Brodhead junior Carly Mohns and senior Taylor Douglas were named first team all-conference. Mohns averaged 14.7 points and 10.6 rebounds per game and Douglas averaged 9.5 points per game to lead the Cardinals to a repeat conference championship.
Brodhead finished the season 23-2 and lost in the WIAA Division 3 sectional semifinals for the second straight year, dropping an overtime nail-biter 56-48 to Lodi.
Brodhead junior Rachel Heller was named second team all-conference.
Junior Meg Duffield and freshman Kylie Moe were named honorable mention all-conference.
Brodhead coach Brad Pickett was named the conference coach of the year.
