MONROE - Tuesday night in Monroe was Senior night for the Cheesemakers, as they were matched up against Evansville-Albany in a dual meet.

While Evansville-Albany got the best of Monroe, 52-21, coach Tom Witt thought that his Cheesemakers team was unable to properly finish some of their matchups.

"We backed off a little at the end of some of our matches," Witt said. "Instead of being aggressive and pushing the pace and maintaining our leads, we became a little tentative."

Jared Amacher pinned his opponent by a double-leg takedown in the 138 pound class, while sophomore Traiten Gorr and freshman David Andrews also collected pins over their opponents in the 182 and 113 pound classes, respectively. Senior Austin Minder was able to celebrate senior night with a 13-7 decision over his opponent in the 195 pound matchup.

Monroe's next meet will take place at the Monroe Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 25.
