Eighth grade pulls out victory

The Evansville-Albany seventh grade football team lost a tough game 24-0 to Edgerton recently.

The team just couldn't seem to get anything going on offense all night. The defense had a tough time stopping the outside sweeps, and some passes in the first half that led to the 24-0 halftime score. The team made some adjustments at halftime and didn't allow any more points in the second half. Offensive highlights of the game were some nice return runs by Logan Katzenmeyer, and some big runs by Logan Wardwell, and Hunter Overland.

Eighth Grade

The eighth grade Evansville Blue Devil Football team faced a worthy foe in the Edgerton Crimson Tide and came away with a 22-12 victory.

It pushes their record to an impressive 3-0 to start the season. Devin Nipple completed a beautiful 22 yard pass to Chase Katzenmeyer for the games 1st score. Zach Weinke scurried in the end zone for the two-point conversion. Edgerton answered back with a touchdown drive of their own and the half ended with the Devils leading 8-6. Michael Barcena responded and took the second half kickoff 60 yards to pay-dirt. Brennan Banks scored on the two-point conversion. Banks then took control of the second half with a nifty 22 yard scamper to put the game away. The Devils are at home against Brodhead next week.
