East-West volleyball showdown slated for June 28

ARGYLE - The Six Rivers Conference will hold its second annual East versus West volleyball showdown at 7 p.m. June 28 at Argyle High School.

The teams will be made up of the senior all-conference selections from the East Division and West Division squaring off in a final match. Argyle won the East title last season, while Benton took the West crown.

Argyle's Jen Butler will coach the East team along with Barneveld's Doug Pickarts, and Highland's Maria Wineski will lead the West team with the help of Shullsburg's Hannah Rennert.

Black Hawk's Sammy Lovelace, Jordyn Delzer and Elizabeth Holland and Kayla Sigafus will compete on the East team along with Argyle's Kayla Butler-Paulson and Morgan Godfrey; Pecatonica's Liz Tisch and Lexi Phillips; Barneveld's Teegan Pickarts, Mia Whitish and Abigail Sutter; Monticello's Jessie Garrison, Brie Graber and Chandler Hansen; Juda's Sara Jordan, Chelsea Burkhalter and Alexis Goecks; and Albany's Sayde McDermott.

Shullsburg's Hattie Rennert will be joined by Belmont's Maddie Rand, Caitlyn Gilbertson and Dakotah Meylor-Seeber on the West All-Star squad along with Benton's Lily Carver; Highland's Jessica Kosharek, Karen McMannes, Alyx Hach and Brooke Michek; Potosi's Brooke McKillip ad Kate Nusbaum; River Ridge's Darion Brooks and Cassville's Mahcoy Mumm.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the charity of the winning team's choice.
