MONROE - Sauk Prairie's Max Stawinoga scored three goals in the first period as the Eagles exploded for six and rolled to a 9-4 win over the Monroe Avalanche boys hockey team Tuesday.
"We started off the game playing slow, and it put us in a pretty deep hole," Monroe coach Josh Smith said. "Our major issue comes down to mentally being prepared to play a full game and be ready at the start of the game. Until then we will continue to have a hard go of it."
