MONROE - Dodgeville hit a walkoff home run in the 10th inning off of Ben Korth to stun the Monroe Brewers in the second round of the Home Talent League Wstern Section playoffs on Sunday.

"It was a no doubt home run," Brewers co-player manager Lon Scheuerell said.

Dodgeville jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Danny Sullivan doubled in the second and Travis Elvert followed with an RBI double. Dodgeville's Tanner Solberg also came through with an RBI single.

The Brewers rallied in the sixth. Brewers co-player manager Rooney Janecke led off the sixth with a single. Janecke moved into scoring position after a wild pickoff throw at first base. Cody Boals then delivered an RBI double to cut the Dodgers' lead to 2-1.

The Brewers forced extra innings when Shaun Dascher walked in the ninth and then stole second. Janecke struck out, but reached first on a dropped third strike that allowed Dascher to score the game-tying run from second base.

The Brewers squandered several golden scoring opportunities. After Micth Marty's infield single in the fourth, Matt Busjahn was thrown out at home. With runners on second and third, the Brewers failed to score. The Brewers also couldn't push across the run and left the bases loaded in the eighth.

"We defeintely had chances," Scheuerell said. "It seems like every inning we had guys on. It was just a matter of coming up with a big hit. We were just not coming through in the key situations."

Boals pitched eight innings for Monroe and gave up two runs on six hits. He had six strikeouts.
