MONROE - The entry deadline is Friday for the 41st annual Monroe City Singles Tennis Tournament, slated for Saturday and Sunday.
The event is open to all players and will feature four divisions: Class A Men's, Class B Men's, Women's and Youth (14 & under). The entry fee is $10 for players 14 and older, and $5 for players under 14.
The women's and youth tournaments will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, at Recreation Park and will be followed by the two men's divisions at 12:30 p.m. Championship matches are Sunday afternoon.
T-shirts and trophies will be awarded and the city will furnish tennis balls.
