LIVINGSTON - Darlington junior Devin Malott reached a wrestling milestone Tuesday night, picking up his 100th career win in a dual match against Iowa Grant.
Malott (31-4), ranked seventh at 119 pounds in the Wisconsin Wrestling Online poll, wrestled up a weight class at 125. He defeated his opponent 3-0 and was one of three Darlington wrestlers to post wins.
Iowa Grant cruised to a 51-15 dual meet win over the Redbirds.
Darlington coach Tom Mathias knows Malott, a two-time state qualifier, is looking for more than 100 career wins.
"He (Malott) is not just satisfied to go to state," Mathias said at the Monroe Invite on Saturday. "He wants to place high and place at the top."
The Redbirds received a pin from senior Dylan McGuire (152). The other Redbird win came from sophomore Joey Meylor (112) via forfeit. Both teams forfeited at 119.
