Darlington tops Pecatonica

DARLINGTON - The Darlington High School softball team battled back from an early hole and slugged its way to a 10-7 win over Pecatonica on Friday.

Pecatonica jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The Redbirds rallied with a two-run third and took a 5-3 lead.

Darlington junior Hannah Kelly went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and one RBI. Junior Tayah Paulson finished 2-for-3, junior Reagan Roelli went 2-for-4 with two RBI, and sophomore Chelsie Golackson was 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Paulson pitched six innings to get the win. She gave up three earned runs on seven hits. Paulson struck out two and walked three.

Senior Kailee Schraepfer went 3-for-5 with two runs scored to lead the Vikings. Senior Clara Moen was 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Moen pitched a complete game and gave up six earned runs on 10 hits. She struck out four and walked four.
