DARLINGTON - For the second year in a row, Darlington-Cuba City placed second at the SWC/SWAL Conference tournament held Wednesday at the Darlington Golf and Country Club.
Lancaster won the tournament with a 363 behind medalist Shannon Farrey, who shot an 82.
The Redbirds shot their best 18 hole score of the season with a 395. Senior Nellie Black just missed medalist by one stroke with an 83. Sophomore Naomi Black fired a 102, senior Erica McComish carded a 103, and junior Shelby Poss shot a 107 for Darlington-Cuba City.
Prairie du Chien (513) finished third at the tournament and Southwestern (528) finished fourth.
The Redbirds, now 21-6, travel to Mount Horeb Monday before competing at regionals in Lancaster Wednesday.
