MADISON - Madison Edgewood's Fred Richards, Jacob Moore and Grant Reichenbacher each scored two goals to power the Crusaders to a 13-0 win over the Monroe boys hockey co-op Tuesday night.
Edgewood (11-4-1, 6-0 Badger South) erupted for eight goals in the first period. The Crusaders outshot the Avalanche 52-13. With the loss, Monroe drops to 0-13, (0-5 Badger South).
"We knew this was going to be rough especially after Edgewood just beat Middleton," Monroe coach Josh Smith said. "They looked very good tonight and are definitely a team to beat in the Madison area."
Monroe goalie Dan Guilliams had 39 saves.
The Monroe Avalanche plays Madison La Follette on Thursday in Stoughton.
