MADISON - Brodhead's Jake Cole finished alone in 27th place Tuesday in the final round of the WIAA Division 2 state golf meet at University Ridge.
A day after shooting an 11-over-par 83, Cole carded a 12-over 84 Tuesday.
Cole triple-bogeyed the first hole, but shot par over the next three holes. A double bogey on five and a triple bogey on six derailed his front nine. By the time he reached the turn, Cole was 11-over.
On the back nine, Cole birdied the par-4 14th and bogeyed the par-3 12th and the par-4 15th.
Osceola's Charlie Danielson was the only golfer to finish under par for the tournament, carding a 2-under Tuesday for a total of 5-under. Platteville's Josh Udelhofen was second (1-over) and a pair of Xavier players finished 7-over.
Madison Edgewood won the WIAA Division 2 boys team title.
