Cold spell wipes out games

MONROE - Due to a cold spell the last few days, sports events across southern Wisconsin have been wiped out the past two days. It's been a crazy month and there are several conferences still up for grabs in basketball.

The cold spell has been a nightmare for area athletic directors being forced to reschedule games. The following games and events have been rescheduled:



Boys basketball

Argyle at Brodhead rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 8

Barneveld at Albany rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 15

New Glarus at Waterloo rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 20

Juda at Black Hawk rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 20

McFarland at Brodhead rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 10

Platteville at Darlington rescheduled to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22



Girls Basketball

Stoughton at Monroe rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, 7:30 p.m.

Darlington at Fennimore rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 18

Argyle at Benton-Shullsburg rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 22

Black Hawk at Warren (Ill.), will not be made up



Wrestling

Brodhead-Juda at Sugar River, Belleville, Thursday, Jan. 30
