MONROE - The Monroe girls soccer team capitalized on a penalty in the first 13 minutes and rolled to a 3-0 win over Evansville Monday.
Evansville was called for a hand ball in the box and Monroe junior Kylee Ritschard scored the first goal on a penalty kick at 12:54.
Later, senior Alyssa Studer scored an unassisted goal at 58:53.
Junior Briana Beck scored off a cross from sophomore Chelsea Haffele in the 66th minute to put the Blue Devils away.
"They had a beautiful switch," Monroe coach Miriam O'Neill said. "It was a perfectly set up goal. In the second half we got much more organized and had a lot of good attacks on the goal."
Senior goalkeeper Gail LaVoie had eight saves. With the win, Monroe improves to 7-4-1, 2-2-1 Badger South.
