STOUGHTON - Monroe's swim team finished last in Tuesday's Badger South Conference relays.
"We did not set up the meet to bring in the points and the girls knew that right up front," Monroe head coach Linda Moser said. "The score reflects that kind of line up and also shows the tough competition within the conference."
Monroe's 400-yard medley relay team of Rachel Root, Kendell Niffenegger, Cat Weeden and Randi Robertson finished third, with a time of 4 minutes, 37.32 seconds.
The 200-yard breaststroke relay team of Jessica Moehn, Sarah Kind, Leanna Schwartzlow and Root also finished third, with a time of 2:24.48.
Monroe's other top point-getting race was the 200-yard butterfly. Robertson, Niffenegger, Schwartzlow and Jolene DeNure finished fourth in a time of 2:04.47.
"This meet tonight was to see what the girls have to offer their team," Moser said. "I was very pleased with what I saw tonight in the pool and what I heard from the girls as they evaluated themselves when they got out of the water."
