"With the kids who were not able to wrestle I didn't know it would be possible," Monroe coach Tom Witt said of winning the team title. "All 11 of our wrestlers finished in the top five and scored 11 points or more. They never gave up and always tried to score points."
The trio of Monroe champions each went 3-0 in the invite. Murray (24-5), ranked 11th in the Wisconsin Wrestling Online Division 2 state poll, knocked off Prairie du Chien's Matt Chase in a technical fall 19-3. "Travis has a good skill set with athletic ability," Witt said. "He made some grounds to improve. He didn't make any mistakes to go onto his back and he saw the results."
