FORT ATKINSON - The Lady Cheesemakers won the Badger South outright with a 43-27 win over Fort Atkinson Friday.
Monroe (20-1, 11-0) clinched a share for the conference title a week earlier with a 31-point win over Monona Grove.
The Cheesemakers, who lost their first game of the season in a non-conference matchup Tuesday at Verona, started slow against the Blackhawks, holding a slim 12-10 lead after the first quarter. By halftime, Monroe held a 27-17 advantage and never looked back.
Jamie Armstrong led the Cheesemakers with 15 points and Ashley Hermanson had 14. Gwen Sutter hit two 3-pointers.
Monroe, which will likely be a top-seed for the regional tournament, has a week off before traveling to Stoughton for the final game of the regular season March 5.
