ELKHORN - After a back-and-forth first half, stifling defense in the second half lifted the Monroe girls basketball team over Elkhorn Saturday in a 49-34 road victory. Monroe (4-6, 1-3 Badger South) led by just five points at half before pulling away in the third and fourth quarters. Monroe outscored Elkhorn 25-15 in the second half, led by a game-high 18 points from senior Alacia Keegan.
