MONROE - Monroe soccer coach Tony Stamm found out Sunday that the Cheesemakers will open the regional tournament on the road at Platteville Oct. 12 against Mount Horeb.
Monroe received a No. 5 seed in the WIAA Division 2 regional. Stamm said since the Hillmen don't have lights, the WIAA recommended the game be played at 3 p.m. However, the game will be played at 4 p.m.
"They are in the same position we are in with no lights," Stamm said.
Mount Horeb received the No. 1 seed and Sugar River received the No. 6 seed. The Raiders will play at Madison Edgewood Oct. 12.
