EAST TROY - Brodhead-Juda senior Blake Burns went 2-for-5 with two RBI to power the Cardinals to an 11-3 win over East Troy on Tuesday.
Brodhead-Juda (2-1) jumped out to an early lead with a four-run first inning. The Cardinals put the game away with a three-run sixth. The Cardinals pounded out 12 hits.
Senior Layne Millard went 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI. Senior Alex Nipple also drove in two runs and senior Skylar Stuckey scored two runs.
Nipple earned the win on the mound. He pitched five innings and gave up one earned run on three hits. Nipple struck out three and walked three.
