BRODHEAD - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team capped an unbeaten regular season in the Rock Valley South Conference defeating Parkview in the second annual Risum Border Battle 55-21 Thursday night.
The Risum Border Battle is a fundraiser and suicide awareness event started by Chad Risum whose brother, Scott committed suicide in 2010.
Brodhead-Juda (5-0 Rock Valley South) racked up three pins. Brodhead-Juda's Reave Linclon at 220 pounds pinned Parkview's Jonah Hansen in 1 minute, 55 seconds. Brodhead-Juda freshman heavyweight Logan Maurer pinned Chris Garcia in 2:35 and freshman Justin Sangermano (106) pinned Michael Brenum in 3:42.
The Vikings forfeited five weight classes - 113, 126, 132, 182 and 195.
Brodhead-Juda senior Kramer Lewis (160) defeated Parkview's Derek Gerber 10-2 and Brodhead-Juda junior Hunter Colden (170) defeated Justin Graham 13-6.
