WALWORTH - Brodhead senior Tate Harnack scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Cardinals to a 56-39 win over Big Foot Friday night.
Brodhead (2-1) jumped out to an 18-8 first-quarter lead and led by 18 points at halftime.
Brodhead senior Trenton Jordan scored 10 points.
CAMBRIDGE 61, ALBANY 42
CAMBRIDGE - The defending Capitol South Conference champion Blue Jays rolled to a 61-42 win over Albany Friday night.
Cambridge senior Nic Bowe scored 21 points and made five 3-pointers.
"He's as good as he is cracked up to be," Albany coach Derik Doescher said.
Albany (1-2) trailed just 15-14 at the end of the first quarter. The Blue Jays outscored the Comets 16-6 in the second quarter. The Blue Jays also outscored the Comets 16-4 in the third quarter and led by as many as 27 points.
"We came in and wanted to keep the game competitive going into the fourth quarter," Doescher said. "It (the third quarter run) really put it away."
Albany sophomore Isaiah Shell scored a team-high 19 points and senior Gavin Ruef had 15.
Fall River 48, Juda 39
FALL RIVER - The Panthers couldn't hang on to a one-point lead to start the fourth quarter and lost the non-conference season opener.
Juda led 32-31 to start the fourth quarter, but the Panthers were outscored 17-7 in the final period. Fall River went 10 of 13 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Juda senior Brandon Bauman scored 16 points and junior Cody Suiter had 12.
