DARLINGTON - The Brodhead-Juda baseball team won two games Saturday in the Darlington tournament.
Brodhead-Juda (4-1) defeated Darlington 6-4 and then slugged its way to a 12-2 five-inning win over Dodgeville.
Brodhead-Juda senior Tyler Flannery went 2-for-3 and senior Tyler Hoesly was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Senior teammate Skylar Stuckey pitched 52⁄3 innings and gave up four unearned runs on six hits to get the win. Stuckey struck out 13 and didn't issue a walk.
In the second game against Dodgeville, the Cardinals broke the game open with a seven-run second inning. The Cardinals pounded out 10 hits and had three players finish with multi-hit games. Junior Jackson Hauri went 2-for-2 with four RBI and three runs scored. Senior Austin Diffenderfer went 2-for-2 with three runs scored and one RBI and Stuckey was 2-for-4 with one RBI. Senior Blake Burns also drove in two runs.
Hoesly pitched four innings and gave up two runs on three hits to get the win. He struck out seven and walked four.
