BRODHEAD - Brod-head sophomore Carly Mohns scored a team-high 17 points to lift the Cardinals to a 50-39 non-conference win over Dodgeville on Saturday.
Brodhead broke open a close game by outscoring the Dodgers 13-7 in the second quarter to take an eight-point halftime lead. With the win, the Cardinals improved to 2-0.
Brodhead junior Taylor Douglas scored 13 points and junior Amanda Pickel added eight. The Cardinals made just 6 of 16 free throws. Pickel hit two 3-pointers for the Cardinals.
Brodhead hosts Beloit Turner on Tuesday.
