CAMBRIDGE - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team went 4-1 to cruise to the championship of the Cambridge Blue Jay Invitational on Saturday.
Waunakee rolled to a 54-15 win over Brodhead-Juda, but the Cardinals bounced back to beat Jefferson 42-31. The Cardinals then beat Cambridge 60-17 and beat Madison West 48-24.
Brodhead's Blake Burns at 120 pounds went 5-0 to lead the Cardinals.
Brodhead-Juda's Jeffery Williams (138), Nick Hack (152), Noah Steinmann (170 and 182) went 4-1. Steinmann posted three pins in matches at 170 and 182. Trent Davis (220) finished the dual tournament 3-1. Davis also lost a heavyweight match against Lake Mills' Andrew Quackenbush 2-0.
