BRODHEAD - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team collected seven pins en route to a dominating 75-3 win over Big Foot-Williams Bay Thursday night.

Senior Hunter Colden, ranked No. 1 at 182 pounds, grabbed Brodhead-Juda's first pin in the second match of the night. He pinned Big Foot's Quin Dixon in 1 minute, 15 seconds.

The Cardinals also collected pins from sophomore Stephen Voights (220), at 5:17 over Will Utesch; junior Coty Knudtson (126), at 2:30 over Austin Duhigg; freshman Dylan Kubly (132), at 1:52 over Taylor Synove; junior Jordan Schubert (152), at 4:44 over Kyle Rambatt; sophomore Brady Colden (160), at 1:01 over Braden Chetnik; and from senior Dalton Oborne.

Oborne (120) collected the fastest pin of the night, defeating Nick Magala in 32 seconds.

"He got him in a nearside cradle," coach Tim Colden said of Oborne's swift pin.

The team's other win came at 195 pounds, where junior Tyler Davis won by 9-5 decision over Mason Dixon.

"The kids wrestled well," Tim Colden said. "You can tell Big Foot's a little behind the 8-ball conditioning wise."

The Cardinals lost just one match on the night. Sophomore Logan Maurer, the No. 7-ranked heavyweight in Division 2, lost 5-2 to Big Foot's Garett Cary, who is ranked No. 2.

"Logan wrestled a good match," Tim Colden said. "He wrestled him three times last year and each match got a little bit closer. It was a tight match."

All in all, Tim Colden thinks his team is just about where they should be at this point in the season.

"I think we're in good shape," he said. "We've got a couple guys dropping (weight) yet. That might make us a little bit more solid. Conditioning wise, we're right where we need to be."
