EVANSVILLE - Brodhead's volleyball team left no doubt who was the Evansville Division 2 regional's best team Saturday.
The Cardinals dominated top-seeded Edgerton, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 25-14 to earn its first sectional appearance.
Brodhead senior Kristen Ruchti led the Cardinals with 33 kills and two blocks to lift the Rock Valley South champions into the sectional. The Cardinals will host River Valley in the Division 2 sectional at 7 p.m. Thursday night.
Brodhead senior Cassie Wymer had 63 assists.
