Here is The Associated Press preseason high school football poll. The poll includes first-place votes in parentheses and total points, as voted upon by a statewide panel of sports writers. Teams are arranged in three divisions of equal size based on current enrollments.

Brodhead-Juda was the WIAA Division 4 state runner up last fall, losing to Kewaunee, which checks in at No. 2. West De Pere holds the top spot in the Medium Division, with Waukesha Catholic Memorial (3), Appleton Xavier (4), Walworth Big Foot (5), Baldwin-Woodville (7), Kewauskum (8), Wisconsin Lutheran and Maple Northwestern rounding out the top 10.
Brillion takes the top spot in the Small School Division, the lowest of the three AP divisions. Brillion won the state title in Division 5 last year and beat Darlington in the semifinal game. Darlington checks in at No. 8 in this year's preseason poll.
Pecatonica-Argyle also received a vote in the small-school poll, which also has perennial state contenders Fond du Lac Springs, Colby, Edgar and Burlington Catholic Central in the top five.
Waunakee is the top team in the Large Division, edging out Waukesha West.
Monona Grove, the Badger South champion in 2010 is ranked eighth. Madison Edgewood and Mount Horeb-Barneveld received votes in the medium school divison.
Monroe travels to Mount Horeb-Barneveld to open the season, followed by Waunakee in Week 2, Monona Grove in Week 4 and Madison Edgewood in Week 7.
