EVANSVILLE - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team went 2-3 in a dual wrestling tournament at Evansville on Tuesday.
Brodhead-Juda rolled past Waterloo 63-9 and the Cardinals knocked off Little Chute 56-18. Evansville-Albany topped Brodhead-Juda 43-29. Menomonee Falls defeated the Cardinals 50-18 and Janesville Craig upended the Cardinals 54-24.
Menomonee Falls defeated Evansville-Albany 43-32 and went on to post a 5-0 record to win the dual-meet tournament. Evansville-ALbany finished 4-1 and Janesville Craig was 3-2.
Brodhead-Juda heavyweight Dakota Taber went 5-0 on the day with three pins. Teammates Tyler Hoesly (160) and Trent Davis (220) each went 4-1.
In the match against Evansville-Albany, Hoesly defeated Johann Kleisch 8-0. Davis edged the Blue Devils' Clay Spooner 6-5. Brodhead-Juda's Noah Steinmann (170) defeated Evansville-Albany's Austin Anderson 12-2 and the Cardinals received a pins from Blake Burns (120) and from Taber.
The Blue Devils racked up seven pins from Russel Waeffler (106), Adam Staver (113), Chase Katzenmeyer (126), Nolan Kicmol (138), Jordan Meyer (145), Tyler Schmidt (152) and Lucius Rinehart (195).
