BRODHEAD - The Brodhead boys basketball team put three players in double figures Tuesday, but fell hard to Walworth Big Foot, 72-51.

Brodhead (11-7, 8-6) still leads Beloit Turner (9-9, 7-7) by a game for the lead in the Rock Valley South. A win Tuesday would have guaranteed the Cardinals a share of the conference title.

Instead, Brodhead must win one of its last two games to win conference - the next of which is Friday at Beloit.

Brodhead fell behind 22-13 after the first quarter and 39-24 by halftime. Big Foot hit seven 3-pointers in the first half, and 11 in the game. Brodhead hit six 3s, but could only knock down seven 2-pointers. The Cardinals did get to the line often, finishing 19-for-26 in the game, and 9-for-12 in the first half.

Jacob Cole led Brodhead with 14 points, including four 3s. J.J. Panoske scored 13 and Ryan Miller had 12 points - 10 of which coming at the charity stripe.
