Clinton came back from an eight-point deficit to take its first lead lead since early in the third quarter with two minutes left in the game.

Brodhead trailed 19-18 at the half. A third-quarter resurgence gave the Cardinals a 31-27 lead with one period left to play.

Jacob Cole and Ryan Miller each scored 14 points for Brodhead. J.J. Panoske added 10 points.

Justin Gunderson scored seven of his 15 points for the Cougars in the final period.

Brodhead (1-2) will try to snag its first conference win next week when they host Parkview on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
