BELOIT - Both the Brodhead-Juda boys and girls cross country teams scored wins at the Rock Valley South Conference meet on Tuesday.
The Brodhead-Juda boys edged Orfordville Parkview for the team title 39-44. Brodhead-Juda junior Nate Ciabatti finished fifth with a time of 18 minutes, 39 seconds.
The Cardinals dominated the race with five runners in the top 10. Brodhead-Juda senior Peter Speckman finished seventh (18:45), junior Reuben Larson took eighth (18:46), junior Tyler Urness was ninth (19:10), and junior Blake Burns was 10th (19:13).
In the girls conference meet, the Cardinals won the team title 39-55 over Palmyra-Eagle (55).
Brodhead-Juda senior Taylor Bluemel won the 5,000-meter race (20:13) and sophomore teammate Cora Purdue finished second (20:30).
Brodhead-Juda sophomore Madee Harding took sixth (21:25), and senior Danielle Dieckhoff was 16th (23:10). Sophomore Morgan Tresemer rounded out the top five taking 20th (23:37).
