BROWNTOWN - Friends of Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area will hold a 5K and 10K trail run Saturday, Aug. 28, at Browntown Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area.
Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m., and the race will start at 10 a.m.
The course will consist mostly of mowed grass trails in the wooded hills and along the lakeshore in the recreation area.
Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place winners.
The registration fee is $25 if postmarked before Aug. 15. Participants may register on the day of the race for $30.
Funds raised by the event will be used to help purchase new playground equipment for the park. Additional volunteers are still needed to help on the day of the race.
