Brodhead's Booth will play at UWP

PLATTEVILLE - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced its 2010 top football recruits, which includes a local high school standout.

Brandon Booth, a 6-foot, 2inch, 290-pound offensive lineman from Brodhead - will attend UW-Platteville. Booth earned all-state honors this past season and will play in the WFCA All-Star Game this summer.

He was a first-team all-conference player on both offensive and defensive line and earned Rock Valley Conference Lineman of the Year. Booth also lettered twice in baseball. The son of Michael and Wendy Booth, he is considering a construction management major.

The Pioneers, under Coach Mike Emendorfer, play in the 10,000-seat Ralph R. Davis Pioneer Stadium, the second largest stadium in NCAA Division III.
