ORFORDVILLE - Brodhead senior Ryan Miller paced the Brodhead-Juda boys track team to a fifth- place finish at the Rock Valley Conference meet on Saturday.
Miller finished second in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.89 seconds. He took third in the 300 hurdles (:42.19) to lead the Cardinals.
The Cardinals won the 1,600 relay with a time of 3 minutes, 29.67 seconds.
Jordan Riemer cleared 11 feet, 9 inches for second place in the pole vault, and Dan Douglas finished third in the 400 (:53.24).
The Brodhead-Juda girls track team ran to an eighth- place conference finish at Orfordville. The Cardinals' 47.5 points were just 2 1/2 points away from forcing a three-way tie at sixth place with Orfordville Parkview and Jefferson.
Brodhead-Juda's Heather Clankie finished second in the discus (113-0) and Diana Baade was third (107-1).
Shannon Klein finished third in the 400 (1:02.69) and Brodhead senior Cassie Wymer finished third in the 800 (2:26.35).
The Cardinals' 800 relay team took second with a time of 1:50.96.
