CLINTON - The Brodhead Cardinals had their season end in the WIAA Division 3 regional championship where they fell to Edgerton 55-33 on Saturday.
Edgerton came out swinging and put the Cardinals down 12-4 after the first quarter. By halftime, the Crimson Tide held a 26-12 advantage. An 18-10 run by Edgerton in the third quarter put the game away for good.
Brodhead struggled from the free-throw line, finishing just 3 of 13 from the stripe. Edgerton was 15 of 21 from the line.
Senior Mariah Mohns and sophomore Taylor Douglas led Brodhead in scoring with eight points apiece. Edgerton had four players in double figures.
