BRODHEAD - Seniors Kylie Moe and Amber Pickel combined to score 47 points to help the Brodhead High School girls basketball team roll to a 76-46 win over Parkview on Thursday.

With the win, Brodhead (19-3, 14-2 Rock Valley South) clinched a share of the conference title with Walworth Big Foot. It marks the sixth straight conference championship for the Cardinals.

Moe scored a game-high 27 points and hit four

3-pointers. Pickel added 20 points. The Cardinals made 14 of 19 free throws.

"As a program it means a lot," Brodhead coach Brian Kammerer said of the Cardinals' conference title. "Hopefully, the younger kids buy into what we are doing. It's a tribute to the girls we have. We not only have good basketball players but great kids. They have been working hard in the offseason and buying in. Hopefully, we can keep it going."

Moe scored 23 of her points in the first half to help the Cardinals jump out to a 46-22 lead.

"Kylie was coming off the flu," Kammerer said. "She had a big game. Amber Pickel and Erin Nyhus really stepped up. Overall, it was a great team effort. It's a tribute to the kids after they lost to Big Foot they had to win out."

Erin Nyhus, a sophomore, added 16 points and knocked down two 3-pointers. Teammate Morgan Cook chipped in nine points.

Juda 42,

Pecatonica 23

BLANCHARDVILLE - Juda junior Chelsea Burkhalter scored a game-high 15 points and the Panthers used a fast start to roll over Pecatonica.

Juda (9-9, 6-4 Six Rivers East) jumped out to an 8-0 lead early in the first half. Burkhalter made 8 of 11 free throws and the Panthers led 24-13 at the half.

"The difference in the game is they got out to a hot start," Pecatonica coach Bobby Rose said. "We were playing catch up from there."

Rose said Pecatonica

(1-21, 0-10) got a lot of open shots but struggled to score.

"We missed a lot of shots we normally make," Rose said. "The first time we played Juda they beat us up on the offensive boards and beat us with their press. We did a much better job of rebounding tonight."

Juda junior Alexis Goecks added 10 points.

Pecatonica's Liz Tisch scored seven points to lead the Vikings. Teammate Sam Mabin chipped in five points.

Pecatonica will play a WIAA regional quarterfinal game at top-ranked and two-time defending Division 5 state champion Barneveld on Tuesday.

"I have been telling the girls we have no pressure," Rose said. "We just have to come out with everything we got. We will see if we can do something that no one has been able to do this year."

In other action, Barneveld defeated Albany 61-36, and Darlington beat Fennimore 64-41.
