MONROE - Justin Hahn did everything the Monroe Brewers needed him to Sunday.
Hahn pitched eight innings and gave up just two earned runs on five hits and he went 3-for-3 at the plate to propel the Brewers to a 9-3 Home Talent League win over Blanchardville Sunday.
The Brewers (2-1) pounded out 12 hits. Three other players had multi-hit games including Monroe alum Adam Siegenthaler (2-for-2), co-player manager Lon Scheuerell (2-for-2) and co-player manager Rooney Janecke (2-for-3).
"Justin was great hitting and pitching today," Scheuerell said. "He pitches a lot of batting practice for his high school team. He's in great shape."
Blanchardville's Troy Ruegsegger hit a two-run homer in the sixth to cut the Brewers' lead to 4-3.
The Brewers answered with four runs in their half of the sixth. Matt Busjahn led off the sixth with a double. Siegenthaler and Hahn delivered RBI singles that helped the Brewers extend their lead to 8-3.
