JUDA - Clinton's boys basketball team topped Juda 55-48 on Tuesday despite big opening nights from Panthers Beau Benner (20 points) and Tyler Pierce (16 points).
Clinton took a 14-7 lead after one period, but Juda came back to take a 20-18 halftime lead. In the third, Clinton came back to take a 33-28 lead. Juda's big comeback fell short in the fourth quarter.
Juda (0-1) will travel to Beloit Turner for its next game on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
PLATTEVILLE 47, DARLINGTON 40
At Darlington, the Redbirds overcame a 10-point halftime deficit, but lost to Platteville.
Platteville senior guard Lucas Ware scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Hillmen.
The Redbirds were paced by sophomore Alex Erickson's 10 points.
