ORFORDVILLE - Black Hawk senior Aleigha Sigafus had a monster game, scoring a game-high 25 points and grabbing 15 rebounds to power Black Hawk to a 53-43 win over Parkview on Saturday.
Black Hawk sophomore Hannah Herbst added 13. Black Hawk senior Tatum Jackson had nine assists.
"We really moved the ball well," Black Hawk coach Mike Flanagan said. "We got opportunities off a lot of backdoor cuts."
Parkview's Katie Harnack scored a team-high 21 points. The Warriors limited Harnack to seven points in the first half as they built a 24-17 lead.
"She's a kid who if she gets any open space, she will knock it down and she got some points in transition in the second half," Flanagan said.
Black Hawk (7-4, 4-0 Six Rivers East) will play at Barneveld (11-0, 3-0) on Tuesday with first place atop the Six Rivers East Conference on the line. Barneveld, the two-time defending Division 5 state champion, is ranked No. 1 in the Division 5 Associated Press state poll.
"They (Barneveld) are the class of the conference," Flanagan said. "It will be a huge challenge. It will come down to how we handle the pressure."
