CLINTON - The undefeated Warriors played without senior standout Rachel Rygh and still didn't miss a beat.

Black Hawk (16-0, No. 2 Associated Press Divison 5) got 17 points from Melissa Wellnitz, 15 from Kate Quinn and another 12 from Jen Wellnitz in a 57-41 win over Clinton in a non-conference game.

"It was a nice game for some other players to step up. Kate Quinn found a way to contribute," said Black Hawk coach Mike Flanagan, who rested Rygh's ankle in anticipation of Thursday's game at Barneveld.

Black Hawk hit 22 shots from the field and held Clinton to just 13 total baskets. The Warriors led just 14-13 after the first quarter and 30-23 at halftime, but a 13-5 run in the third quarter broke the game open.
