BELLEVILLE - Tara Hanna had three hits and knocked in two runs to power the Belleville High School softball team to a 13-3 win over New Glarus on Thursday.
Hanna went 3-for-4 and scored three runs to lead the Wildcats. Belleville's Bailey Legler finished 2-for-4 with two RBI. Teammate Anna Nolden finished 2-for-3 with one RBI and Cassidy Heller was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Heller pitched six innings to get the win. She gave up two earned runs on seven hits. Heller struck out two and walked one.
New Glarus juniors Grace Moen and Kelly Fredrickson were each 1-for-2 with one run scored. Both Maya Kramer and Riley Parker each had one RBI for the Glarner Knights.
Juda-Albany 19, Monticello 2 (5)
JUDA - Senior Jessica Crull went 3-for-3 to lead the Panthers to a 19-2 win over Monticello.
Juniors Chelsea Burkhalter and Alexis Goecks were each 3-for-4. The Panthers had 19 hits, and the Ponies were plagued by five errors.
The Panthers had a five-run first inning to set the tone. Juda-Albany put the game away with a six-run fourth.
Juda-Albany sophomore Nicki Becker pitched a complete game to get the win. She struck out three and gave up two hits and two runs in the fifth.
Monticello's Megan Lehr and Lindsey Pence were each 1-for-2.
Monticello junior Jessie Garrison pitched a complete game and allowed 19 runs on 19 hits. She walked five.
