Beaver Dam baseball stymies Monroe

BEAVER DAM - The Monroe baseball team left nine runners on base and lost a non-conference game to Beaver Dam 7-0 on Monday.

Monroe (2-20, 1-10 Badger South) has lost 16 straight games. Juniors Alex Einbeck and Kevin Klopfenstein were each 2-for-4 for Monroe.

The Cheesemakers had runners on first and second in the first inning with one out and the bases loaded with one out in the third, but they couldn't push across a run.

Ryan Erickson started and pitched four innings. He gave up five earned runs on seven hits. Jared Weber pitched two innings in relief and gave up two runs on four hits. He struck out one and walked one.
