The Capitol Conference has announced its 2008-2009 boys and girls all-conference teams for basketball.
New Glarus senior guard Jake Bast was named first team all conference, joining Marshall's Mike Boebel (player of the year, unanimous selection), Wisconsin Height's Rory Cotter, Cambridge's Shane Leadholm and Waterloo's Sam Gage.
Bast was joined in honors by New Glarus senior guards Cassidy Flannery (second team) and Logan Lockard (honorable mention).
On the girls side, junior forward Tanya Gruter was named to the second-team all conference.
Juniors Michelle Preston and Alissa Siegenthaler each were named to the honorable mention team.
Wisconsin Heights senior Ali Wilkinson was unanimous first team and was named conference player of the year.
