BARNEVELD - The Albany Comets fell to Barneveld 2-1 Monday afternoon.
The Eagles scored a run in both the second and third innings off of Albany starter Katie Krupke. Krupke allowed three hits and five walks, while striking out seven in six innings.
Kaitlyn Schulz went 2 for 3 from the Comets' leadoff spot, including doubles in both of her first two at bats.
Albany collected seven hits and tied the score at 1-1 in the top of the third when Carlie Peters knocked in Schulz.
