Avs' Squirt B squad wins a pair

MONROE - The Avalanche Squirt B hockey team traveled to Beloit on Saturday, Jan. 29, and posted a 3-0 victory, with goaltender Kendall Wild getting the shutout.

Luke Kuberski scored two goals for the Avalanche, and Camden Steinmann and Ethan Williams had assists.

On Sunday, Jan. 29, the Avalanche rolled to a 14-1 triumph at Stoughton. Scorers were Kendall Wild with three, Bryce Montgomery, Roman Bauer and Charlie Harris with two each, and Kaiden Klitzke, Camden Steinmann and Ethan Williams. Brady Smith was in goal.

Squirt A loses

The Avalanche Squirt A hockey team lost 6-2 to the Middleton Wings on Sunday, Jan. 29, at SLICE.

Travis Edmunds scored off Emma Ness' assist to open the scoring, but the Wings quickly took took control.

Tessa Janecke scored the other Avalanche goal, assisted by Anika Einbeck and Payton Stauffacher.

The Avalanche Squirt A squad begins the playoffs against Sauk Prairie on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 9:15 a.m. in Stoughton. If they win, they will play at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Madison Ice Arena.

The last playoff game will be on Sunday in Sun Prairie at 11:15 a.m. and if they win, they will head to the state tournament March 4-5.
