The Monroe Avalanche Squirt A hockey team split four games last weekend, winning one of two games on both Saturday and Sunday.

Tessa Janecke finished with two goals and an assist, and Travis Edmunds had a goal and two assists as the Avalanche opened the weekend with a 3-2 victory against the host Madison Polar Caps.

Wyss scored the lone goal, assisted by Cade Janecke, in the Avalanche's 5-1 loss at Sun Prairie.

On Sunday, Edmunds scored six goals as the Avalanche rolled to a 7-3 victory at Stoughton. Stauffacher scored the other goal and Wyss and Tessa Janecke had assists. Bear made 19 saves.

In the nightcap Sunday at SLICE, Alyssa Knauf had a goal and an assist, Cade Janecke scored a shorthanded goal and Riley Jones added an assist in a 5-2 loss to the Beloit Blades.
